Privatised in 1998 and operated by Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd, it offers 19 berths for various types of cargo including containers, liquid chemicals, and palm oil. The port boasts state-of-the-art container handling equipment, a 75 km railway line connecting Kuantan to Kerteh's Petrochemical Complex, and one of the longest free storage periods in Malaysia. Visitors can enjoy watching cargo operations, exploring the container yard, and experiencing the bustling maritime activities.
